Hai Ikigai 極端な

The Hai Ikigai 極端な Backstory

Written by founder Duncan Larkin

In Japanese culture Ikigai means something that gives life purpose...that positive, driving force. You know it when you feel it and sometimes it's hard to find. Hai means "Yes" in Japanese so the two together mean "Yes to Ikigai" or "Yes to fulfillment in life". Pretty positive stuff right? Hai Ikigai's vibe is mostly J-Pop dance tunes with beats---something to get you moving.

I'm a huge admirer of Japanese culture and of Japan itself and lived there a long time ago. I used to know how to read Katakana, Hiragana, and a lot of Kanji, and that all is gone now, so I am using this band to re-learn the language. If you're in Japan and want to get us over there for a gig, please reach out!
